Direct consultation, training and capacity building with children, young people and professionals. Current clients include local authorities, participation teams, youth forums  and commercial companies. Previous clients include UNICEF, Save the Children, and Universities across Britain.

Extensive experience of consultation work – recent examples include:  rewards and sanctions in school settings, safe in our care in LAC settings, play and youth provision, service provision for young people, Bullying and anti bullying strategies in education settings, developing and managing young people led services.

 

Develop, pilot and deliver community capacity building projects. Recent examples include: piloting new ways of working with families for Families first projects, run training on techniques for listening to children and young people, engaging with teenagers and understanding extreme poverty.

Outreach Worker at Circus Eruption

Circus Eruption is an inclusive youth circus started in 1995 and run by volunteers.  I worked as part of a team of three outreach workers promoting inclusion, well-being and self esteem. We developed and delivered more than 50 outreach projects lasting up to ten weeks. Work was with partner organisations to design, run and evaluate all activities.
